Best family office software in 2026: a buyer's guide
The best family office software and wealth reporting platforms of 2026 compared - Tributom One, Addepar, Aleta, Asora, Eton Solutions, Landytech, Masttro and QPLIX - with what each does, who it suits and how to choose.
Tributom · 30 Sept 2026 · 3 min read
Most family offices still run on an accountant's ledger, a broker portal, a folder of fund PDFs and a spreadsheet that joins them once a quarter. Family office software exists to replace that with one reconciled view of the family's wealth - private funds, listed securities, property and cash - by entity and by person, in any currency, as of any date.
There are a dozen platforms that claim to do it. This guide sets out the ones most often shortlisted, what each says about itself, and why we built Tributom One the way we did.
Our pick: Tributom One
Most platforms in this market are reporting layers: they display numbers that somebody else prepared. Tributom One is an operating platform. It produces the numbers - and can show you the page behind each one.
It reads the documents itself
Capital calls, distributions and capital account statements from fund administrators are read by the platform - no re-keying, no waiting on an outsourced data team.
Every figure shows its page
Each extracted number is boxed on the source PDF, so a reviewer checks it in seconds and an auditor can find it years later.
The ledger is inside
A real double-entry ledger with draft, approved and posted journals, maker-checker approvals and a field-level audit trail - not a reporting layer on someone else's books.
AI that stays private
Categorisation and drafting run on a model hosted on infrastructure Tributom controls. No client data is sent to a public AI provider.
Yours alone, in the UK
A dedicated deployment, database and document store per client in Microsoft Azure UK South, behind your own Microsoft sign-in.
A practice alongside
Tributom Advisory is an ICAEW-regulated accountancy and tax practice. The people who build the platform can also do the accounts.
The three kinds of platform
Wealth reporting platforms take positions and transactions from custodians, banks and data providers and turn them into consolidated reporting. Their strength is breadth of feeds; the reconciliation and the accounting happen somewhere else. Addepar, Aleta, Landytech and Masttro lead with this.
Integrated platforms put accounting and administration in the same system as the reporting. Eton Solutions and QPLIX lead with this, and Asora includes accounting for smaller offices.
Operating platforms start from the documents and the bank: they read the capital calls and statements, match them to the wires, post the ledger and report from that one register. Every figure has evidence behind it. That is Tributom One.
If your problem is only that you cannot see everything in one place, a reporting platform answers it. If your problem is that nobody can say whether the numbers are right, you need the third kind.

What to weigh
How the data gets in. Feeds, statement files, PDFs read by the platform, or data keyed by a service team. Tributom One reads the documents itself; ask other vendors which route applies to each of your managers.
Whether accounting is inside. A ledger beside the platform means two versions of the truth to reconcile. Tributom One keeps the double-entry ledger in the same register as the reporting.
Whether you can see the source. Ask any vendor to show you the page behind a figure. In Tributom One it is one click, on every number.
Where your data lives, and who the AI shares it with. Region, tenancy, identity provider and model hosting. Tributom One gives each client its own deployment in the UK and runs TributomAI on a private model.
Who stands behind it. Software vendors sell software. Tributom also runs an ICAEW-regulated practice, so the accounting and tax questions have someone to answer them.

How to run the comparison
- Write down your loops first. Every document type you receive, every bank and custodian, every entity and who owns it, every report you produce.
- Test on your own documents. Give two or three vendors the same month of real statements, notices and bank files. A demonstration on the vendor's data tells you about the vendor's data.
- Check the chain. Pick five figures from each result and ask to see what is behind them.
- Ask about year two. Implementation, data feeds, support and how the price moves as you grow.
We will happily be one of the three. Book a demo and we will load your own documents and show you the page behind every figure.
Our longer guide, Family office software: what it must do, and how to choose it, sets out twelve questions in detail.
